What Paradigm for Revelation?

At the outset of any exposition of a book of prophecy one must consider their bias. What presuppositions does one bring to their reading of scripture? It is necessary to have the appropriate ‘lens’ or context to understand the myriads of symbols and images that bombard the reader.

The premise of this commentary is that the key to the interpretation of the book of Revelation is an idea known as pattern theology (also termed the regulative principle).
